Financial Advisor | President
Fresh out of grad school, Douglas Boneparth set out to fix a massive problem in the financial services industry: no one was helping millennials solve for the novel financial challenges they faced. He had already become one of the youngest CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals in the country at 24 years old and was used to doing things his own way. So, while everyone else chased old money to invest, Douglas started finding people to invest in.
He founded Bone Fide Wealth in 2016 as the preeminent wealth management firm for millennials and young professionals. Servicing student loan debt, turning brands into businesses, navigating unexpected career moves, learning new currencies, finding ways to plan for a family while supporting the family you have—he has seen and done it all. Douglas’s financial solutions are creative for generations that constantly face new issues warranting new solutions.
Douglas received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, with concentrations in finance and management. He enjoys playing tennis, keeping his menswear fresh, and of course, making coffee at home. He also loves being outnumbered by his wife and two daughters, Heather, Hazel, and Ruby.

The third annual “40 Under 40” project spotlights 40 dynamic honorees, all under age 40, who were selected from a pool of approximately 800 nominees by a panel of reporters, editors, and other representatives of InvestmentNews. Winners were chosen based on their level of accomplishment, contribution to the financial advice industry, leadership, and promise for the future. This recognition is not indicative of the advisor’s future performance and your experience may vary. For more information visit www.investmentnews.com.
Investopedia reviewed more than 500 application submissions from financial advisors to measure their impact and reach across Twitter, LinkedIn, personal and company blogs, and online publishers. Their proprietary ranking considered each applicant’s page rankings, followers, and citations of their work by other advisors, consumers, and the financial media. The advisor’s dedication to educating investors was also a factor. This award is not indicative of advisor’s future performance and your experience may vary. For more information visit www.investopedia.com.
The 2018 ranking of Forbes’ Top 1,000 Next Generation Wealth Advisors1 recognizes advisors born in 1980 or later with a minimum of four years of experience. Advisors were rated based on a proprietary algorithm of qualitative and quantitative criteria: assets under management, revenues generated for their firms, client retention, industry experience, credentials, and compliance records. SHOOK Research also employs an opinion-based weighting system that prioritizes its preferred “best practices,” which include business models, activities, processes, and structure. Overall, 5,832 advisors were considered, and 1,000 (17 percent of candidates) were recognized. Click here for the full methodology2 that Forbes developed in partnership with SHOOK Research.
